Putting an End to Child Hunger

Did you know that in 2009, 19.5 million children received free or reduced-price meals through the National School Lunch Program but only 2.2 million of these same children participated in the Summer Food Service Program that same year? The fact is, every summer millions of children who depend on school lunch programs for their primary source of food for the day go hungry in the summer. Here at Champion, we think this is unacceptable in our communities. This summer, help us as we try to put an end to childhood hunger.
